Makeup Expiration Tracker & Reminders
Most makeup has a Period After Opening, shown as an open-jar symbol like 6M or 12M. Makeup Shelf keeps track of it for you and reminds you before a product expires.
Add the PAO or an expiry date
For each product, add the Period After Opening from the label or an exact expiration date if the pack shows one. Our guide to the PAO symbol explains how to read the label.
Gentle reminders
Makeup Shelf sends reminders when products are getting close to expiring, timed so they do not overwhelm your day. That makes it easier to use the right products first instead of finding them expired at the back of a drawer.
FAQ
What does the PAO symbol mean?
The Period After Opening symbol shows how many months a product is expected to stay in good condition after it is first opened, for example 12M for twelve months.
Is expired makeup dangerous?
Old products can change texture, smell or color and may harbor bacteria, especially eye products. When in doubt, replace them. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
Is Makeup Shelf free?
It is free to download, and the free version lets you track up to 5 products, which works well for a focused Project Pan. Premium unlocks unlimited products.
