Privacy Policy

This page covers two things: this website, makeupshelf.app, and the Makeup Shelf app for iPhone and iPad. Both are operated by HASAN BALKI.

This website

makeupshelf.app does not use cookies, does not show ads, and does not ask you to create an account.

  • Analytics: we do not run analytics scripts on this site. If we add them, we will use a cookieless service such as Cloudflare Web Analytics and update this page first.
  • Hosting: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Tools and search: our calculators and site search run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.
  • App Store links: links to the App Store include campaign parameters so we can see, in aggregate, which pages lead to downloads. Apple does not share personal information about you with us through these links.
  • Email: if you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

The Makeup Shelf app

The app has its own privacy policy, which is the authoritative document for how the app handles your data: Makeup Shelf app privacy policy. In short, according to that policy:

  • You sign in with Apple or Google, and the app stores your display name and email address.
  • Your account and product data, such as products, usage counts, spending records, diary entries and routines, are stored in the cloud with Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos are stored on your device.
  • The app uses Supabase, Firebase (Google), RevenueCat, Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In to provide its features and subscriptions. Usage analytics and crash data are collected only with your consent, and no advertising identifiers are collected.
  • Social features such as friends and leaderboards can show your display name, username and avatar to other users.
  • Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store.
  • You can permanently delete your account and its data from Profile › Delete Account in the app.

If anything in this summary differs from the app's own policy, the app's policy applies.

Children

This website and the app are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
