What does each use really cost?

Enter what you paid, how often you use it and how long it lasts. See the price of every single use.

A simple estimate: price divided by the number of times you use the product before it runs out or expires.

How it works

The calculator multiplies how many times a week you use the product by the average number of weeks in a month (about 4.33) and by how many months it lasts you. It then divides the price by that number of uses.

Shelf life matters here. If a product expires before you finish it, the uses you lose still count toward what you paid. Our expiration calculator helps you see how long you have after opening.

FAQ

What is cost per use?

It is the price of a product divided by the number of times you use it. A pricier product you use every day can cost less per use than a cheap one you rarely touch.

How do I estimate how long a product lasts?

Use your own experience with the product, or the shorter of how long it takes you to finish it and its shelf life after opening. A product you throw away unfinished costs more per use.
